About this directory

MyNihongoAcademy is an independent, non-commercial directory of Japanese language schools. Every record is compiled from public data published by Japan's official school registries, with association rosters used as a supplementary cross-check, and — where a school has a website on file — checked against that school's own website. See the Methodology and Sources pages for detail.

We are not an agent

This site does not place students with schools, does not charge schools for placements or referrals, and does not accept payment to rank or feature any school more prominently than another. Every school that appears in an official source is listed on the same basis — nothing here is sponsored or paid content.

Something wrong with a listing?

Open the affected school's page and use its “Report a correction” link, or start from the full list of schools: Browse all schools

Named in a school's Operator field?

If you are an individual named in a school's Operator field and want your name removed, open that school's page, use its “Report a correction” link and choose “Remove my personal data”. We act on such a request within 7 days: the name is removed from the Japanese page and from search on the next data update.
