Kansai University International Student Bekka
Capacity: 100 students
Kansai University's Separate Course for International Students aims, through its educational and research objectives, to teach Japanese language, Japanese affairs, and Japanese culture to international students who wish to advance to the university's own faculties and graduate schools, or to other Japanese universities and graduate schools, cultivating the foundational abilities needed for academic activity and developing capable individuals with an international perspective. To this end, the program offers, in addition to Japanese-language subjects, seminar subjects for learning academic skills used at the undergraduate and graduate level, Japanese-affairs subjects for learning Japanese culture and customs, general-studies subjects for deepening knowledge of Japanese society, and subjects covering the basic knowledge needed at a Japanese university (English, mathematics, science). Students take classes suited to their own goals and needs, building the academic ability needed at university or graduate school alongside their language skills.
